Visit the country’s oldest fire station in Singapore and learn about its firefighting and civil defence developments from the late 1800s to present day.

The Singapore Civil Defence Force provides fire-fighting, rescue and emergency medical services for Singapore and is recognised as a professional body of well-trained officers and men ever-ready to respond to life threatening emergencies. At the Civil Defence Heritage Gallery located at Central fire station, visitors will learn about the history of the Singapore Civil Defence Force, as well as the latest fire-fighting and rescue technology they have developed and used. The gallery also features customised interactive stations for a close-up experience of what fire fighters and rescuers experience in an operation. Visitors can opt for a guided tour through the gallery. The guided tour is available in English only.
