Built across the Marina Channel, the Marina Barrage is Singapore’s 15th reservoir.

The barrage acts as a flood control measure for low-lying parts of the city centre by keeping out the tidal influence. With green principles applied to its design, construction and operation, the barrage is a showpiece of environmental sustainability. It's an ideal venue for water and recreational activities due to the stable water surface. Visitors can enjoy having picnic and kite flying against the stunning city skyline at the barrage’s Green Roof which is open 8am to 9pm daily (Last entry at 8pm). There is a Sustainable Singapore Gallery (SSG), where visitors can learn about Singapore’s sustainability measures. To gain access to Accessibility to Sustainable Singapore gallery, visitors are required to join a pre-registered guided tours. Currently, numbers are capped at 20 participants per session with no more than eight in a group.
